Andrea MOTIS is an exceptional young lady I love the songs she sings and of course all the group with Joan M.
Wanted to read about if she’s married and the rest of her life!

A wonderful experience it is to see and hear Andrea Motis on YouTube as well as Spotify. I wish to pass my personal thanks to all of your team involved with producing your video recordings for everyone to hear and view them now. I am sure this goes out from all of your followers too.
Also special thanks to you Joan Chamorro too, for your amazing work involved with teaching and producing such enthusiastic musical talented performers from such young aged persons.

Your voice is very beautifully aging Andrea and like good wine it only gets better with the time! So glad I discovered your work to realize there’s a next step following Getz & Baker. What Joan is doing for the youth in Catalonia is just wonderful and very exceptional! I am already following you guys for a few years now, hope to see you soon live on stage. Thank you for your amazing musical expressions!

She is a fabulous musician. I am now retired, but I had the distinct honor to work with many talented high school and college students.

Found you on utube about a month ago. I must say I got hooked on you as well as joan. Your easy Bossa Nova style, the syncopation, the easy grace you bring to the craft.
I played saxophone as a kid in the school jazz band. Was some of the best years of my life.
I grew up on all the jazz greats and they have nothing on Andrea. She is supurb and only getting better.
    Sincerely

I just discovered Joan Chamorro videos on You Tube a month or so ago. Andrea is my favorite of his proteges. I have seen so many videos dating from back when Andrea was a teenager to her most recent videos. Andrea has been gifted since her beginnings but I must concur with what many others have stated: Andrea just keeps getting better as time goes on. Does she still play saxophone? She was very good at that as well. Hope you return to the USA soon.

Living in the us now kind of feels like what was the dark ages, but when I found Andrea on line, I felt encouraged.
I think humanity could possibly move forward because
Andrea shows that breathtaking talent, genius and pure beauty will always arrive to pull the world to a better place. And if not, at least they can show us that there is a better part of the world. Which is a comfort.
As the last comment said, please stay healthy, and careful!!

How is this possible? The way you play music Andrea is an “emotional dance”! I am learning Vibraphone and for the same joy when playing that You have I love to watch Stefon Harris while he plays the vibes. Maybe for you people who show the joy when playing, really you are in love with music – or with your instrument – or both! This is such a fine human quality you have to keep! Compliments! To listen to you makes me smile again and again!

I have just discovered Andrea Motis recently on you tube, watching her perform, right almost at the beginning when she was just a young girl, even then, her talent was mind blowing! Her skill playing trumpet is simply superb, and makes it look so effortless, the mark of genius! And over the years, she has just got better and better!
Her singing is fabulous too, I would happily sit for hours watching and listening to her! Apart from all that Spanish talent, she is gorgeous looking too! I love Jazz! Thank you Andrea!

I have only been aware of the beautiful Andrea Motis and the Saint Andrew Jazz band for 3 months now and I am enthralled by Andrea’s wonderful voice and instrumental abilities. I love jazz and swing, Latin music and old classics she performs. I am a retired American and live in Thailand. Her music plays almost every day in my home and always will. I wish her continued success in her career.

About one month ago, I stumbled on Joan and his magnificent training of many fine young musicians and singers. I “fell in love” with Andrea when she was very young. I could not get over her talent even then. I am now hooked and have enjoyed Andrea as her life proceeded and she became better and better. Thank you Joan for your loyalty to your youngsters
and the future you gave them and your band. Andrea, congratulations on marriage and at least one child I am aware of. I’m 82 years old, Andrea, so fear not when I say, “I love you even more”!

Andrea, I discovered you and the Sant Andreu band on You Tube a month ago. I am just blown away by your talent and all the young women who have blossomed under the tutelage of Joan. You have become such an excellent trumpeter, better with each new recording. And your vocal phrasing is incredible. I was especially impressed when at age 18 you sang Moody’s in the Mood for Love. Wonderful! I am a psychotherapist and jazz pianist in New York City. Your music brings me much joy. I would love to see you perform in New York Come to the US!

I discovered this unique artist only a year ago. Sorry for that. I posted in youtube videos “no one like her in jazz history”. Few lines to explain why. Great jazz singers (Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan, etc.) were possibly better singers than Mrs. Motis. But none of them could play the trumpet as Mrs. Motis does!!! Great jazz trumpet player (Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Art Farmer, Dusko Goicovich, etc.) possibly played better than Mrs. Motis. But none of them was able to sing like her!!! Chet Baker did it, but no comparison between the way she sings and that of Chet Baker. Only Satchmo was a great trumpet player and good, but limited, singer. Moreover, all of these musicians are anchored to one jazz style. The astonishing ability of Mrs. Motis is that she can sing/play nearly any jazz style (even any music style) being always a “top player” and always credible. Like if the style she is playing in that moment is her main style. A camaleon! That’s why I believe she is the best singer/trumpet player all time in jazz (music) history. Her place should be in the most important jazz festivals (Montreux, Monterey, Newport, etc.). With a swing orchestra, my dream is that she may play in the temples of swing (like Las Vegas), allowing the world to know how great is her music. And how special is when she is on the stage: simple, genuine, polite. Nothing in common with the 99.99% of those who define themselves musicians.
All the best to her and family.
